zuhair murad

During the Beirut explosion, Zuhair Murad’s historical atelier was hit, almost losing over 20 years of work, an unimaginable loss for the designer. With his newest Fall 2021 Couture collection, Murad wanted to focus all of his energy on creating a collection that would fuel him and give him purpose after the devasting incident.

The collection was an endless amount of sumptuous gowns, creating a bold yet glamourous look down the runway. His dresses consisted of intricate embroidery, shimmery detail and crystal fringe in silver and gold. Ballooning capes were all the rage at his show, making room for voluminous shapes and playful silhouettes. The colour palettes consisted of rich blues, ruby reds, sapphire and blacks, giving each of his pieces an eye-catching appeal.

elie saab

Elie Saab was one of the designers who didn’t travel to Paris this season, but that doesn’t mean his collection fell short. The designer delivered a Couture bouquet with his Fall 2021 Couture collection, incorporating Saab’s signature look with a new and improved asymmetrical design.

After experiencing a year of darkness, Elie Saab focuses on bringing hope back to the world with his latest collection. The designs were filled with playful pastel tones, florals, tulle and chiffon detailing. Saab’s refreshing unstructured gowns were infused with asymmetrical black lace numbers and delicately fresh-cut flowers giving off the aura of femininity.
