Aerie, the female clothing brand by American Eagle, launches its first role model program in the Middle East featuring influential Arab women. This program was created in an effort to empower women through the representation of influential females by highlighting their stories and achievements. Aerie’s goal is to take down stereotypical ideas of beauty, gender and body type, and instead promote diversity, inclusion and self-love.

The three influential women chosen to represent the Middle East for the first time are Ascia, Hadeel Marei and Logina Salah.

Ascia is part owner of the k-beauty brand Seoul Kool, a full-time mother, and an equal rights influencer. She uses her platform to create awareness on issues faced by Middle Eastern women relating to toxic gender stereotypes by empowering women to step outside of societal expectations through her ‘filter-free zone’ motto.

Comedian Hadeel, was also one of the chosen role models in this campaign. She uses her platform to show women that they can break through male-dominated fields by sharing her life story. She is also an advocate for curvy women by promoting body positivity and proving you do not have to be a size zero to feel beautiful in your own skin.
