Congratulations are in order for Princess Iman of Jordan and her husband, Jameel Thermiotis!

It was announced in a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court over the weekend that the couple had welcomed two new arrivals.

“The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed, on 14 August 2026, with twin baby girls,” the statement read.

And now, Queen Rania has shared the first photographs of her newborn granddaughters – also revealing their names, one of whom takes after the monarch herself.

Sharing photographs of herself and her husband, King Abdullah II, doting over their new grandchildren, Queen Rania revealed the baby girls’ names to be Talia and Rania.

“Healthy, happy and finally here. We’ve been waiting so long to meet you, Talia and Rania,” Queen Rania wrote. “Congratulations Iman, Jameel and sweet big sister Amina!”

The announcement of the newborn twins comes just weeks after the queen first revealed her eldest daughter was pregnant in an Instagram post captioned, “The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel, and soon-to-be big sister Amina!”

Amina, meaning trustworthy and honest in Arabic, was born to the couple in February 2025, just under two years after their wedding. Her birth was also announced by the queen via social media.

Princess Iman is the first daughter and second child of the rulers of Jordan. She is married to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, a New York-based financier.

The couple tied the knot at the Beit Al Urdun Palace in Amman in front of several noteworthy guests and Arab royals from around the Middle East. The bride wore a Chaumet tiara and custom Dior gown to mark the occasion.
