It’s official: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have tied the knot.

After a decade together with fans waiting to catch a glimpse of a ring on the WAG’s finger, the couple has finally said, “I do”. The Portuguese football star, 41, has tied the knot with his longtime partner, 32, on August 11 with an intimate ceremony in Cascais, Portugal. The newlyweds confirmed the news on social media shortly after the ceremony on Tuesday evening. Taking to Instagram with a photograph of the pair holding hands, sporting matching gold wedding bands, captioned ‘C❤️G’. The wedding was an intimate celebration, with the couple’s five children and inner circle in attendance.

The news of the wedding came exactly one year after the model announced their engagement on Instagram on August 11, 2025. Sharing a photograph of her hand adorned with a large, oval-cut diamond ring, she stated, “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,”, which translates to, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

In an interview with Piers Morgan, in November 2025, the football superstar opened up about the proposal, revealing that Rodríguez was less interested in the ring itself than in knowing he was serious about their future together.

“One thing that I love, she didn’t care about the ring. She asked me if I was honest, and I said, ‘I want you, and I want to marry you.” He proceeded to state that the timing of the proposal was influenced by their daughters. “It was like 1am, and my daughters were in bed sleeping, Alana and Eva. And one of my friends gave me the ring to offer to Georgina,” Ronaldo recalled. “I was given the ring, and my two girls came, and they said, ‘Daddy, you’re going to give the ring to mum, and you’re going to ask her to be married.’ And I say, ‘Wow, this is the right moment to say yes.’ It was in the timing,” he explained.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez are parents to five children: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 9, daughter Alana, 8, daughter Bella, 4, and Cristiano Jr., 16, whom Ronaldo welcomed from a previous relationship.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s love story began in Madrid in 2017, when Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. Their initial professional interaction turned romantic after the pair reconnected at another event, where Ronaldo asked her to dinner. The couple made their public debut at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich, appearing on the red carpet alongside Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., before Ronaldo made the relationship Instagram official a few months later.

Since then, the couple has built a blended family. Ronaldo is a father of five: eldest son Cristiano Jr. (born 2010, from a previous relationship), twins Eva Maria and Mateo (born 2017 via surrogate), and two daughters he shares directly with Georgina — Alana Martina, born in November 2017, and Bella Esmeralda, born in April 2022. Bella was originally a twin; her brother, Angel, passed away shortly after birth, a loss the couple has spoken about publicly while celebrating Bella’s life.

Since then, Rodríguez has become a familiar face in the worlds of fashion and entertainment, having been the lead model for campaigns with Guess, Gucci, Prada and Chanel.

The couple is now also based in Saudi Arabia, which has been showcased on Rodriguez’s reality show I Am Georgina. Ronaldo and his family moved to the Kingdom in 2023 following his groundbreaking $200 million contract with Al Nassr football club.

As the couple embarks on this next chapter as husband and wife officially, it seems the sky is the limit for this pair.
