Mabrook!  Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II of Jordan and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis are expecting their first child together.

The joyous news was confirmed by Queen Rania via her official Instagram page with a stunning sunset photo of the couple.

In the photo, shared with the Queen’s 10.5 million followers, the silhouettes of Jameel and Princess Iman are seen, along with the royal’s growing baby bump.

“Two is a couple, three is a blessing,” Queen Rania captioned the photograph.

The news of the couple’s impending arrival comes nearly two years after Princess Iman and Jameel tied the knot.

The royal wedding ceremony took place back in 2023 on March 12, where the pair wed in Amman, Jordan at the Beit Al Urdun Palace.

The bride wore a custom Dior gown and tiara from Chaumet, and walked down the aisle accompanied by her brother and the future of King of Jordan. The wedding was live broadcasted across state television and every member of the royal family showed a rare appearance. In the official signing of the documents, known as the katb elktab, the princess and bride sat between her father, His Majesty King Abdullah, as well as her husband, Jameel Thermiotis, as they signed the documents and were named as husband and wife.

Several noteworthy guests were in attendance, including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, as well as Sheikh Issa, son of Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad, as well as other royal family members from Egypt and Kuwait.

Who is Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, Princess Iman’s husband?

Jameel Alexander Thermiotis was born in Caracas, Venezuela, to Alexandros Thermiotis and Corina Hernández in April 1994. He’s the eldest of three siblings; he has one sister, Alexia, and a brother, Alejandros. He comes from a prominent Greek family that maintains a strong connection to their heritage with frequent trips to the Greek island of Andros.

Princess Iman’s husband attended private school while growing up in Venezuela and attended college in the United States. Thermiotis graduated in 2015 with a specialisation in Business Administration and Business from Florida International University, which set him up for his future career in finance. He spearheaded a venture capital firm called Outbound Ventures LLC after graduation and went onto becoming a managing partner at a New York City venture capital firm.

The couple are thought to have met in the USA, where Princess Iman also attended university. The Jordanian royal first began her higher education at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., before transferring to Parsons School of Design which is located in New York City, where Jameel was also previously based working in finance.
