The Royal Hashemite Court, as well as Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, announced the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II to Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis. The engagement took place on Tuesday, 5 July 2022, in the presence of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, as well as Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, and Princess Salma bint Abdullah II, in addition to members of Mr. Thermiotis’ family.

Her Royal Highness Princess Iman is the eldest daughter of Their Majesties, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and second eldest child after her brother, the Crown Prince. The 25 year old princess moved to the United States after her school graduation, and enrolled at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., something she has in common with her older brother and father. Whilst there still has not been enough information released about Her Royal Highness’ fiance, what is certain is that the engagement will be celebrated by many in the country.

Her Majesty Queen Rania took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message for her eldest daughter, sharing “Congratulations my dearest Iman; your smile has always been a gift of love that I’ve cherished since the day you were born. I wish you and Jameel a life filled with love and laughter!”

The Royal Hashemite Court also congratulated the King and Queen on the engagement, wishing the couple “a lifetime of happiness” with a dedicated Instagram post.

We wish Her Highness Princess Iman and Mr. Thermiotis a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations!
