Selena Gomez is no stranger to speaking her truth, admitting one day she just wants a family and in another interview admitting that she signed her life away to Disney. Marry that with a candid lo-fi TikTok account, a “super affordable” skincare routine and walking the red carpet bare foot and she could be one of the most relatable celebrities on the internet. Joining a long list of reasons why we love her is the forthcoming release of My Mind & Me, a documentary on the actress and artist from Apple TV+.
From director and producer Alek Keshishian – known for his groundbreaking film Madonna: Truth or Dare – and from the makers of the Emmy Award-nominated documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, arrives insight into Gomez recent career journey.
“After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light,” the official synopsis reads.
The 30-year-old has sold more than 210 million singles worldwide and amassed over 45 billion global streams of her music. In 2021 and 2022 alone she earned a Grammy nomination for her first all-Spanish EP and an Emmy nomination for her role in her Disney+ series Only Murders in the Building alongside veteran actors and co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. She is the founder of RareBeauty and is an advocate for mental health.
Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me is slated to release on Apple TV+ from November 4. Watch the official teaser below and stay tuned for further developments.
