Selena Gomez might have the world’s best beauty products at her disposal, but the star has revealed that she’s still partial to a budget buy. The Rare Beauty founder recently shared her entire “super affordable” skincare routine on TikTok, with every product readily available from US drugstore CVS – and almost every item coming in at less than $25.

Gomez began her routine with Urban Hydration’s Hydration Aloe Vera Gel Facial Mask which is formulated to fade dark spots, tackle acne and detox the skin. It’s said to perfect for oily or combination skin and it’s the cheapest item on Gomez’s list, but it is a little trickier to find here in Australia – so prices are a little higher here due to international shipping.

Gomez then cleanses with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, which is also yet to launch in Australia but is available via Amazon. The formula is said to gently slough away impurities and dead skin for a clean, refreshed face.

Up next is Vichy’s Pureté Thermale Perfecting Facial Toner – another international export from the looks of it – that’s popular for sensitive skin. Gomez uses it as a second cleansing step to remove any extra mask residue and ensure that her skin is soft and completely clean.

Gomez then applies an eye product, which – at $81 – probably wouldn’t be classified as budget skincare by everyone. But the eye gel has won fans for its lightweight texture and properties that claim to plump and smooth the under-eye area – and if it’s good enough for Gomez, perhaps it’s worth the higher price point.

Finally, the Only Murders In The Building actor adds radiance to her complexion with Neutrogena’s Bright Boost Face Serum, which contains turmeric to brighten and rejuvenate dull, lacklustre skin (which is probably all of us now that the Australian winter is settling in).

It might be cheaper skincare than some of her celebrity peers are using (and it remains to be seen if this was actually a very effective ad for CVS), Gomez insists her budget-friendly skincare routine really “works” – so we’re inclined to give all of the above a go.
