Since their fling Down Under, Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are still very much a thing. In fact, they’ve taken their relationship to the next level with the singer holding a celebrity-fuelled birthday bash for her beau. Taking to Instagram, Ora shared a rolodex of pictures from Waititi’s 46th birthday which featured an impressive guest list.
In an unknown location the loved-up couple were joined by Kristen Stewart, stylist CJ Romero, Rami Malek, Kate Beckinsale, Ashley Benson and Evan Ross. Across the massive lap pool Taika’s name was spelled out in balloons while an image of his face was plastered onto another ballon. The soirée was held outdoors, expectedly to mitigate the risk of catching COVID.
The British pop star went all out on her look for the evening and wore a sheer corset dress by Australian designer Dion Lee and Christian Louboutin wedge boots.
Ora and Waititi met in early 2021 in Australia. The singer was taking part as a judge for The Voice while Waititi was directing Thor: Love and Thunder. After Ora went Instagram official with the filmmaker in a subtle social media post, they were regularly seen together in Sydney. And then of course there was that three-way kiss with Tessa Thompson.
The duo eventually returned to the US where we heard little from them until they appeared hand-in-hand at The Suicide Squad premiere recently.
Barack Obama had his own A-list birthday bash this month too which featured guests like Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson as well as couple Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union. Oh, and we shouldn’t forget the chic addition of gold printed napkins.
