Naomi Campbell is a proverbial mother to many. But for one lucky baby boy, he’s blessed with the supermodel as his literal mother.
After welcoming her daughter in February 2022, the now mother-of-two welcomed another bub into her brood, announcing the arrival of her newborn son on social media.
To celebrate his birth, Campbell shared a sweet image of her family with the accompanying caption: “My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence.”
In the photo, the 53-year-old cut an angelic figure in layers of white chiffon embossed with pastel sage floral details. Campbell carried her petite son in her arms, her children’s hands clutched in her own. Consider our hearts tugged.
Although the news came as a surprise to her loyal devotees, it seemed the news also caught her sartorial contemporaries off guard.
Under her post, Marc Jacobs wrote, “Oh my! Already? I can’t believe a second blessing. How amazing!!” with Anna Sui adding “Congratulations Naomi!!! Looking forward to meeting the little guy! Sending love and hugs, Anna.”
With Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford also sharing their warm wishes for Campbell in the comment section, we can only imagine that with this circle of bona fide fashion supernovas as his extended family, the baby will be the most stylish one on the playground.
His baby shower could almost draw more fashion dignitaries than the front row of fashion week, to which he is rightfully deserved.
Campbell also included in her caption a message to any hopeful mothers out there by writing “It’s never too late to become a mother”.
After the birth of her firstborn, Campbell was subject to an onslaught of invasive comments about the nature of her daughter’s birth, yet rather than letting the espousing of hatred get to her, she described motherhood as the “best thing” she’s ever done.
But her most resounding words of advice is one she gave to her supermodel confidants: “I’m telling them all, do it! Don’t hesitate!”
