Michael B. Jordan speaking on making a family is the best thing you’ll read all week – guaranteed. The Black Panther actor appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show on May 10 melting hearts as he spoke about his 16-month-old nephew.

“He’s mobile now,” the said. “He’s figuring out his legs work. You take your eye off him and in one second, he’s out of here. He’s great.”

The conversation took a natural segway when he revealed having a nephew “bought him some time” on having his own. Degeneres asked about baby names (his Father’s name is Michael A. Jordan) but noted he would end the cycle with his name.

“I am breaking that cycle right there,” he explained. “It’s too much, just like the pressure I had to live up to my dad’s name and I’m not going to put that on my kid. I’m going to give him his own identity. He’s got to walk in his own shoes.”

Speaking on creating a family previously, Jordan told People, “One day, yes, I want children. I want a wife. It’s kind of tough right now when I guess my first choice is always work. But having a family is definitely important.”

Phew! Is it getting hot in here?

Currently it’s hard not to envision Lori Harvey as that future wife. 2021 marked the beginning of Jordan’s relationship with Harvey and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Take Valentine’s Day for example. Harvey’s father and television personalty Steve Harvey has approved of the relationship speaking with Degeneres earlier in the year.

Mr. Harvey said, “He is one of the nicest guys. I’ve met his father. I’ve sat up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothing wrong with him!”

Could this latest news form the beginning of something more in the near future? We’re certainly into it.
