“I have tried not to like him,” Steve Harvey joked during an interview with Ellen Degeneres this week. The comedian and host of Family Feud US, has broken his silence on his daughter, Lori Harvey, and her new-found love with Michael B. Jordan. And it appears Mr. Harvey has nothing but praise for the Black Panther actor.

“I have tried to find something wrong with him that I could dig in and go — ’cause I don’t got rid of all of ’em. All of ’em. Some of them snuck in the back door on me and lasted a lot longer than I wanted it to.”

“But this guy, is such a good guy, man,” Mr. Harvey continued. “He is one of the nicest guys. I’ve met his father. I’ve sat up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothing wrong with him!”

Mr. Harvey’s daughter, 24, and Jordan have been dating publicly since January 2021. So who are the unlucky ex-boyfriends that were forced to face Steve Harvey’s “ass-whooping”? Harvey has previously been linked to Grammy Award-winning rapper Future and Sean “Diddy” Combs, better known as Puff Daddy.

“I can’t whoop him. Most guys I say I can jump on them and take them out, but he just looks like a real a** whooping in the making,” Mr. Harvey quipped to Degeneres. “I’m just hoping they make it.”

Looking back at a 2019 interview with GRAZIA’s Editorial Director, Jessica Bailey, it seems that Jordan manifested his relationship with Harvey, saying he wanted to set the bar “high” for 2020. And that, he did, becoming the face of Coach and being named as People’s Sexiest Man Alive.

“At the end of the year, everybody wants to set some new goals. Everybody wants to be like, ‘New year, new me’ and a month later we’re back in the same routine,” Jordan said when looking forward to 2020. “For me, it’s just about being very hopeful and setting the bar really high. Being ambitious and not being afraid to fail and take some big swings.”

That’s some big swings indeed.
