One after the other celebrities are falling in favour of red hair. Last month Emma Chamberlain proved the fiery hue wasn’t dead and gave it life for the winter season. Next to try the tricky trend is our favourite peroxide blonde, Lucy Boynton.
Overnight she appeared alongside Christian Bale for the Los Angeles premiere of the Netflix release The Pale Blue Eye. The actress debuted her copper look with short extensions and paired a vintage-inspired cream gown with the look. Her makeup was finished with her signature spidery lashes and a deep plum lip.
Since bursting on the Hollywood scene with her role in Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018, Boynton has boasted many iterations of the same blonde bob. We love seeing the beauty aficionado – known for her incredible eye looks – experiment with her hair too.
Boynton joins a long list of celebrities to transform their usual locks for a coppery hue. Kendall Jenner was one of the first to debut the look for the Prada runway in February while Gigi Hadid followed suit in at the Met Gala May, also wearing the Italian fashion house. Sydney Sweeney and Megan Fox also proved to be fans of red hair in 2022.
The 28-year-old portrays Lea Marquis in the upcoming Netflix film. The Pale Blue Eye follows veteran detective Augustus Landor who is tasked with investigating a number of murders alongside a young cadet who goes on to become the critically-acclaimed author Edgar Allen Poe. It will release on January 6, 2023.
