When Gigi Hadid stepped onto the red carpet at the 2021 Met Gala in a Prada gown and red hair, the supermodel unknowingly started a visceral reaction. A trend that has stood the test of time. Kendall Jenner followed suited before Halsey, Sydney Sweeney and even Megan Fox tried the copper coloured locks.

While we thought the look was all but finished this fall season, our favourite Gen Z-er and bonafide tastemaker Emma Chamberlain has debuted her next transformation. After brief stint with a blonde bob for summer, the Youtube star took to Instagram today to reveal her burgundy colour. She was captured in a picturesque park in San Fransisco wearing a patent leather jacket, green knit and blue pants with big tinted Gucci sunglasses.

As is signature for the content creator and model, her hair was perfectly unkept with beach waves and a messy front fringe. She is never one to take herself seriously (unless of course it is to design her gorgeous home).

The red hair look makes sense, particularly if Chamberlain is looking to go brunette again. Any former blondie has experienced the dreaded “copper” stage before you can bring it back to a deep brown. Hair science things.

For the unacquainted, Chamberlain found fame in her teenage years for posting vlogs to Youtube. She now boasts millions of followers on the platform – including 16 million on Instagram alone – and has established a successful coffee brand and podcast. When she’s not running multiple businesses, the 21-year-old is travelling the world with luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Cartier.
