Jennifer Lopez is a woman who doesn’t do anything by halves. Her red carpet style is so infamous, it should really be studied. So when she fronts up to an awards show – let alone one that is honouring her with an award –  you best believe she’s going to show up in the style stakes.

And that’s exactly what she did at the socially-distanced 2020 People’s Choice Awards today, donning a perfectly poufed scarlet Christian Siriano number. An exaggerated collar extended all the way over her shoulders and bust, briefly nipping in at the waist and before flouncing out into an A-line skirt. The look was polished off with transparent Gianvito Rossi pumps and Forevermark jewels.

The megastar, who was bestowed the People’s Icon Award for her multi-faceted career that spans acting, music, dance and design, went for an equally amped-up beauty look. Her longtime hair stylist Chris Appleton twisted her tresses into a half-up high pony, dubbing the overall look ‘Xmas Barbie’ on Instagram .

Makeup artist Mary Phillips opted for bronze bombshell glam on JLo using Pat McGrath products to create fresh, luminous skin and a matching red lip. The exact shade she chose for the lip was actually a combination of two shades – Pat McGrath’s PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Blood Lust MatteTrance Lipstick in Elson 2 and Obsessed! – and her blush also came courtesy of a McGrath lipstick, namely the Luxtrance Lipstick in LeBeija.

Curiously, JLo tagged her upcoming beauty line – aptly titled JLo Beauty – in her Instagram post, appearing to imply that she was wearing at least one of the much-anticipated new products. However it’s unclear which exact product she might be wearing, as Phillips only outlined Pat McGrath makeup in her full Instagram breakdown of the final look.

Either way we’re intrigued, and once again stand in awe of JLo’s enduring prowess as a red carpet virtuoso.
