Actress, entrepreneur and all-round wellness icon Gwyneth Paltrow is finally bringing her cult goop Beauty line to Australia. goop is perhaps best-known as Paltrow’s polarising US lifestyle publication, which once advised its readers to enlist ‘psychic vampire repellent’ in their daily routines. But questionable advice aside, Paltrow has carved out quite the reputation as a clean beauty connoisseur, a role she cemented with her first foray into the space a few years ago.
goop Beauty was an instant hit in the US, where it was stocked on the publication’s website alongside other cult beauty brands such as Vintner’s Daughter and Rahua. Paltrow created the range out of a desire for active, clinically-proven products that hero natural ingredients but actually, you know, work.
Since goop Beauty’s initial launch in 2016 – which consisted of only a few core products, including a cleanser, an exfoliating face mask, a facial oil, an eye cream and dedicated day and night creams – the range has grown into a fully-fledged luxury skin, hair and body line. And now goop Beauty is finally set to land in Australia, with the brand set to launch into MECCA, in line with the opening of the retailer’s Sydney Gowings Street space – which is set to be the largest and most immersive dedicated beauty store in the Southern Hemisphere.
True to its all-natural origins, the goop Beauty range is cruelty-free and formulated without parabens, petroleum, phthalates, SLS, SLES, PEGs, TEA, DEA, silicones or artificial dyes and fragrances. MECCA will launch 10 products from the line as of Friday 27th November, exclusively at the new flagship Gowings Street store and via their Australian and New Zealand online stores.
