Just opened: ‘MECCA’ at Westfield Bondi Junction. Not Mecca Cosmetica. Not Mecca Maxima. Simply MECCA; a binding of beauty like no other, the store is triple the size of the original Mecca Cosmetica in Bondi.

The new beauty destination melds everything customers love about Mecca Cosmetica with everything a beauty junkie lusts after at Mecca Maxima. It is quite literally a one-stop shop for the ultimate Mecca fan and any beauty aficionado, combining over 100 of MECCA’s exclusive luxury and blockbuster beauty brands in one playful space.

“We are so delighted to unveil our new MECCA within Bondi Junction,” says MECCA Founder Jo Horgan. “We really wanted to cover MECCA’s entire brand line up in the one location, in an environment that was both glamorous and service-centric but also with new innovations to make it a truly unique shopping experience.”

A more beauty-full shopping experience, the sleek Mecca aesthetic has been adhered to, with interior designers Meacham Nockles creating a space that is both modern and elegant, with marble finishings and bespoke Italian fittings. However, pops of colour splice the space, culminating in a  new Beauty Play Bar, which allows customers to experiment and ‘play’ with the latest products and techniques. There is also the addition of more makeup stations, where up to 12 customers at a time can now receive makeup applications, lessons and skin consultations. Digital look-books will also be introduced, allowing customers the ultimate inspiration for their in-store makeup application; the ability to browse a range of beauty looks and trends, just the thing to rouse your beauty fire.

With the inclusion of the celebrated Mecca Perfumeria, a selection of the most sought-after fragrance brands from around the world including Diptyque, Byredo, and Fornasetti are on offer, alongside a carefully curated collection of rare and niche brands such as JinSoon, Iiuvo and Le Sourcil, which are housed in the Mecca Trove  – another new, and welcome, addition for those seeking cult-status in the beauty stakes.

Makeup sees all the classic Mecca heroes return; NARS, Hourglass, Chantecaille, Stila, By Terry and Ellis Faas, alongside Maxima favourites Urban Decay, Smashbox and Too Faced. Skincare savants will also be able to explore a dedicated skin area, offering a compelling line up of luxurious brands such as Sunday Riley, Rodin Olio Lusso, Tatcha and Kate Somerville, as well as former Mecca Maxima exclusives Drunk Elephant, frank body and Josie Maran.

Welcome MECCA, we already adore you.
