The release of Spider-Man: No Way Home is only mere weeks away and that could only mean one thing: Zendaya is back. Following a sartorial-fuelled promo trail for Dunethe actress has returned to the red carpet for her next instalment of incredible style.

Zendaya stepped out in Paris overnight to attend the 2021 Ballon d’Or France Football award ceremony at the Theatre du Chatelet. Once again she was styled by long-time collaborator Law Roach and this time was wearing Roberto Cavalli Fall 2000. From the front, the form-fitting look featured a high neck, 3/4 sleeves and a floor-grazing skirt. Perfectly elegant. The back however played hero to intricate embellishment in the form of a golden spine.

The detailing was added by the brand’s current creative director Fausto Puglisi. “I love Zendaya since day ONE,” the designer wrote on social media. “❤️ I re edited this frock for My girl ! Custom made for a Queen! ❤️I’m in Heaven! ✨Beyond! ✨✨ ZENDAYA IN CAVALLI!”

Fans on social media were quick to reference the design cue to Spider-Man’s beloved antagonist Doctor Octopus and his AI arms (the villain is rumored to return for the 2021 movie). The gown was paired with simple black pumps, chunky gold hoops and a faux bob.

As we near the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it is hoped Zendaya and new beau Tom Holland will make their official red carpet debut as a couple. In a recent interview with GQ, her boyfriend and co-star admitted that they can no longer control their privacy.

“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” the actor said.

Zendaya echoed these comments, saying, “The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own. I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other.”

Stay tuned.
