As Zendaya touched down in London on Sunday, she wowed fans at a photo call for her upcoming appearance in Dune. Standing alongside Timothée Chalamet and Jason Momoa, the actress paid homage to homegrown British designer, Vivienne Westwood. Overnight the Euphoria star walked the red carpet at a special screening for the sci-fi film in Rick Owens.

She was of course styled by the brilliant Law Roach, the mastermind behind her most iconic looks. As the promotional tour for Dune nears its end, it feels fitting to pay sartorial homage to her character in the film, Chani. The Parisian-based, American born designer is aptly known for his subversive futuristic looks with Zendaya’s gown pulled from the Fall 2021 ready-to-wear collection.
The one-shoulder sculptural piece was adorned in thousands of glittering sequins. On the runway, the model was styled with a black opera glove. Instead, the dress was paired with several Bulgari Serpenti diamond bracelets and rings.
In a far cry from the actress’ undone waves and wispy bangs from the day before, her hair was slicked back into a braided up do.

Zendaya later attended what we suspect as an afterparty, as documented by her stylist. Taking cue from the likes of Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa, she wore a slinky Nensi Dojaka dress featuring sheer paneling and thin spaghetti straps.
She can truly do no wrong.

Dune – which will see a release in Australia from December 2 – is adapted from the 1965 novel of the same name and stars Zendaya, Chalamet, Momoa as well as Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac. It is directed by Denis Villeneuve.
The film follows a 1984 iteration which was released to a tepid reception. Given the casting, we can only hope the modern version lives up to the hype.
