Zendaya already made headlines with her Sharon Stone-inspired white blouse and skirt ensemble at the 2022 Oscars (which was praised by Stone herself!). Now, the superstar’s Academy Awards appearance is still making news, after Zendaya revealed that she did her own makeup for the red carpet — and afterparty.
On Tuesday, the Euphoria star posted an image of herself at the Oscars on her Instagram Stories writing, “Every now and then I do my own beat,” tagging the beauty brand, Lancôme for the products behind her fresh-faced glow, glossy nude lip, and statement lashes. (She was named the face of Lancôme’s Lash Idole mascara in 2020.)
As she changing her outfit for the star-studded Oscars Vanity Fair afterparty, Zendaya knew she needed to amp up her glam as well. Sporting a darker, smokier, more exaggerated cat eye with her Sportmax suit set and slicked back tresses, she posted a photo from the red carpet on her Instagram Stories writing, “And then I switched up the eye…,” tagging Lancôme once again.
She left the hairstyling to her go-to celebrity pro, Antoinette H, who shared a step-by-step guide on Instagram showing how she achieved Zendaya’s Old Hollywood-inspired “tousled and wispy upsweep” hairstyle.
Zendaya attended the 2022 Oscars in support of her film Dune, which was nominated for a whopping 10 Oscars and brought home an impressive six. The star later reunited with her Euphoria family at the afterparty.
