Now that HBO Max has confirmed And Just Like That will be coming back for another season, we couldn’t help but wonder which characters will be back on the small screen.
It’s safe to say that the original trio — Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) — are going to be back in action.
After the streamer made the announcement, Parker, Nixon and York took to social media to gush over how successful the Sex and the City reboot was.
“Season 2. Thank you to our audience. Plain and simple. You are our heartbeat. We love you so. X, SJ,” the actress captioned a photo of the cast via Instagram.
“#AndJustLikeThat…we’re coming back for season 2! 👏🤗🎉,” Nixon exclaimed, while Davis added, “We are so excited to continue the show! Thank you to all of our supporters and also to everyone who had something to say. As @variety said ‘the show that made the internet explode in conversation each week.’ What a thrill to be a part of a show like this! And so thrilled to get to continue 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you @hbomax 💜.”

It’s unclear who else will be reprising their roles, but Sara Ramirez, who played Che Diaz, reposted a video that announced that season 2 is coming, so it’s likely they will be coming back, too.
Before the good news was shared, Sarita Choudhury, who plays Seema Patel, was on board with telling more stories.
“Just the other day, I was thinking, ‘I wonder.’ Because there’s a point where they let you know if there is or not and we’re not at that point yet,” she spilled. “I was thinking, ‘God, I hope there is,’ And also, I was thinking, you know when you bring in new characters and you just start establishing and everyone’s getting used to all of us having grown up, Carrie’s grown up. I feel like the second [season] would be able to just jump into who they really are as opposed to getting the audience used to seeing what they’re seeing. So I would love a second season, but I really don’t know.”
Though season 1 ended with Carrie texting her old pal Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), don’t expect a cameo from the actress.
“No. Just like there was no thought that Kim would ever participate in And Just Like That, because she’s said what she had said,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said, referring to how the blonde beauty trashed the show and her coworkers.

“The only place I participate in magical thinking is in fiction … Magically thinking, it’s great to have Samantha,” he added. “I have no realistic expectation of Kim Cattrall ever appearing again.”
