Just imagine this. Adam Driver, Timothée Chalamet and Harry Styles all walking the red carpet on the same week. Throw in appearances from the likes of Olivia Wilde, Greta Gerwig, Ana de Armas and Cate Blanchett and you have the 79th Venice Film Festival. The annual affair will open on August 31 and will serve as a star-studded prelude to Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

The lineup was announced today and will be opened with Noah Baumbach’s White Noise starring Driver and Gerwig. It is adapted from the Don DeLillo novel and will be the first time a Netflix film opens the lauded event. Chalamet will make his return to the festival circuit for another year with his appearance in Bones and All, a film adapted from the novel by Camille DeAngelis about teenage cannibals. It is directed by Luca Guadagnino and also stars Taylor Russell.

Other standouts include Olivia Wilde’s highly-publicized drama Don’t Worry Darling with Styles and Florence Pugh. The confronting biopic on Marilyn Monroe BLONDE, will also receive airtime before it is released onto Netflix from September 23.
