May 25, 2021: Valentino, as a luxury fashion label, has always been fully committed to inclusivity and innovation, so it’s no surprise that they (finally) pivoted into the beauty space. After teasing the launch of its first-ever beauty line this past April, the Italian label has revealed more details about Valentino Beauty’s debut beauty products—along with photos of the highly-anticipated collection.
“When Couture and Beauty open to all individuals, it becomes a celebration of self-expression through formulas that amplify the Couture DNA: uniqueness, extravaganza, and experimentation,” said the brand in a release shared with GRAZIA. To exemplify this message, the Maison has unveiled multi-use and multi-finish products that are as elegant and fashion-forward as they are beautifying.
The collection features 40 foundation shades, 50 lipsticks, and eye products galore, all of which are housed in Valentino Red packaging, engraved with the house’s signature logo in gold. Clearly, Maison Valentino isn’t playing around; they wanted every shade, color, and texture to be seen and celebrated. The brand calls its makeup formulas “experimental, with a couture approach,” and all of the lipsticks and palettes are refillable—a win for the environment.
If you loved the tiny clutches and purses from Valentino’s Spring-Summer 2017 show, you’ll love the Glo-Clutch, which is a refillable compact on a gold chain that lets you have convenient access to your favorite products on the go. There’s also the dual-ended Twin Liner that comes in different shades for the indecisive makeup-wearer and a three-in-one Brow Trio that somehow is a liquid brow pen, a brow pencil, and a comb, all-in-one. Finally, we’re convinced that the cosmetics line’s Dreamdust Eye Glitters will be a go-to for nights out this summer.
Keep scrolling for a small sampling of what’s to come, and take note that the Valentino Beauty collection will be available for pre-order starting June 15, and will roll out worldwide in August.
