Tracee Ellis Ross

On April 19, Tracee Ellis Ross‘ hit show Black-ish aired its final episode after eight years on TV. To promote the bittersweet finale, Ross has been out and about making press appearances and she’s been saving some of her best statement-making looks for last.

For her victory lap over at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she brought out color, feathers and sequins for her show-stopping look. She chose a curve-hugging, long-sleeve sequin dress with green and periwinkle feathery trim along the sleeves and bodice. The design was from Central Saint Martins graduate Kevin Germanier’s eponymous label, Germanier, which is known for its sustainable approach to fashion and for upcycling pieces.

Ross snapped a few photos to share with her 10.9 million followers on Instagram showing off the look, captioning the post, “To all the men I’ve loved before.” She paired the eccentric creation with a pair of bright yellow Christian Louboutin pumps that add an extra wow factor.

Her trusted stylist, Karla Welch, shared more photos of the design and thanked Germanier for “whipping up this #sustainably made beauty for us.”

Earlier in the week, Ross brought a new meaning to the term “Monday blues,” in a navy Christian Siriano PVC set. The top featured a plunging neckline and boxy shoulders paired with the matching midi skirt. Ross opted for a pair of baby blue platform Mary Jane heels to complete the look.

For those who are fans of Ross’ on-screen character Rainbow Johnson, she’ll be back on screens soon. Although the Black-ish series ended, Ross will still make occasional appearances in the show’s spinoff series, Grown-ish which was just renewed for season 5.
