Italian fashion house Tod’s has unveiled a new and unexpected collaboration with Moncler and Palm Angels this month in what has been dubbed a “Miami State of Mind.” The diverse and hedonistic spirit of ’90s Miami is channeled by the latest 8 Moncler Palm Angels story, photographed by Philadelphia-born shooting star Quil Lemons and featuring supermodel, philanthropist and forever icon Naomi Campbell.

The designer behind Palm Angels, Francesco Regazzi’s idolatry of American culture plays out in a sports-inspired collection behind the breathtaking backdrop of Miami. Campbell is seen lounging poolside and overlooking the turquoise sea in what the streetwear brand describes as a “louche approach” to sportswear: a striking gold Keon jacket paired with gold track pants.

The collaboration with Tod’s is highlighted throughout the shoot and the brand’s hallmark footwear silhouettes. The flame and intarsia Gommino loafers are presented from deckchairs and the sun-soaked basketball court whilst the winter Gommino boots dangle from diving boards and seaward jetties.

Tod’s is of course no stranger to an artful collaboration. In 2021 the Italian fashion house tapped several international artists for a unique take on the Shirt Bag and at Milan Fashion Week later in the year worked with Japanese designer Ryo Kashiwazaki of Hender Scheme for unisex styles. “For me, Tod’s is a long-established Italian brand that combines various knowledge, experience, and advanced technology accumulated over a long history,” the designer explained to GRAZIA.
