Taylor Swift may have once lamented about being on the bleachers in her 2008 single “You Belong With Me”, but it seems the pop supernova has happily reclaimed this position after being spotted in the member’s box at her rumored boyfriend, Travis Kelce’s football game.
Her attendance at the match seemingly confirms dating rumors, with the 12-time Grammy Award winner reportedly seeing the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end since mid-September.
Swift was spotted inside Kelce’s suite at Missouri’s Arrowhead Stadium—the same stadium where Kelce first connected with Swift after watching her Era’s Tour there—with the two-time Super Bowl winner’s mother, Donna Kelce. A knight in shining nylon, indeed.
For the occasion, Swift wore the team’s red-and-white jersey and a pair of black denim shorts from Australian label Ksubi, which she styled with a two-toned monogrammed canvas Camera Box Bag from Louis Vuitton, a sand-colored baseball cap and New Balance trainers.
According to Kelce himself, the athlete made his intentions to date Swift known after he attended her Missouri concert in July.
Afterwards, Kelce revealed on his podcast that he wished to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it. “She doesn’t meet anybody or at least she didn’t want to meet me,” said Kelce at the time.
Yet, in the days leading up to Swift’s rare appearance, the tight end revealed he personally invited the musician to the game.
“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court, and I told her ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So we’ll see what happens in the near future,” he explained on a sports talk show.
As it turns out, Swift’s lyrics prompting her fans to create and exchange friendship bracelets may have actually manifested her latest love: “So, make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it. You’ve got no reason to be afraid.”
