Stopping by NYC amid her groundbreaking Eras Tour, Taylor Swift stepped out on Monday in an uncharacteristically breezy outfit.
Heading to a recording studio, the very busy singer showcased a twist on her usual style in an undone shirt and skirt reminiscent of a school uniform.
The shirt, called the ‘Sisca’ shirt by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row, is a menswear-inspired silk shirt in a white and blue stripe with a centre front covered placket and French seams at the shoulders. Down below, she wore Free People’s ‘Heartbreaker’ skort, a faded denim silhouette in a snug low-rise fit—a rare departure from her usual high-waisted jeans.
Though Swift, 33, usually opts for delicate flats and a crossbody bag, she took a bolder turn with her accessories, opting for beige socks with a lettuce hem tucked into chunky lace-up loafers by Malone Souliers and a storm grey leather shoulder bag by Patou.
For jewellery, she wore gold hoops, assorted silver rings and a gold necklace with a “Give You the Moon” charm from Catbird’s collaboration with Swift’s friend Phoebe Bridgers, while a red lip added a touch of her signature Old Hollywood glamour.
The change-up, despite being a stark departure from her usual ‘Girl Next Door’ style, seems fitting of a break between concerts where the singer has been performing sold-out shows in intricate custom outfits by Versace, Zuhair Murad, Roberto Cavalli, Etro, Nicole + Felicia and Alberta Ferretti.
