COPENHAGEN, DENMARK: Above Villa Copenhagen, a five-story boutique hotel situated in the Danish capital’s Central region, Storm Hans threatens to unleash a torrential downpour at a moment’s notice.

In a room on the hotel’s fourth floor, a ray of bright sunshine beams through a skylight, interrupting the grey skies and unprecedented weather that’s tormented the city for weeks.

It’s fitting that this moment of balmy reprieve arrived when it did, with the melange of silver and gold hues saturating the afternoon sky apt for the evening’s proceedings: a night in Copenhagen with revered Danish jeweller, Pandora.

I, like many guests, have made the pilgrimage to the harbour city for Copenhagen Fashion Week—a display of Danish design and Scandi style, two characteristics that the accessories Maison have been mastering for its four-decade reign.

Indeed, it could be argued that Pandora’s forty years in business have led to this event, an intimate dinner toasting the brand’s official partnership with Copenhagen Fashion Week, a first in its history, its steadfast commitment to curating moments of significance, and (most importantly) celebrating its newest global ambassador, the inimitable Ashley Park.

With Pandora’s wheelhouse being a luxe display of mixed metals, precious stones and signature charms, it’s appropriate that the city in which it was founded, and still operates out of today, provides the perfect backdrop for this milestone occasion in offering gilded light and a sparkling setting that compliments the brand’s hand-finished metal jewellery.

I too, dressed for the occasion in a grey, gold and black Prada dress sartorially referencing the hues of the jewellery houses, allowing myself to be a blank canvas for layering Pandora’s trinkets, including bespoke ring stacks from the brand’s signature collection, layers of the newly unveiled studded chain bracelet and one-of-one earrings crafted using charms from the Pandora ME range.

Yet, despite my effort to stylistically embrace Pandora’s visual language, nothing could’ve prepared me for my complete immersion into Pandora’s whimsical universe during their intimate dinner.

The fête was hosted in a historic art institution on the shores of the Slotsholmens Canal. Inside the courtyard Kunstforeningen GL STRAND, located on one of Copenhagen’s oldest streets, Pandora melded Danish tradition with contemporary Scandi touch points for an evening that toasted the brand’s legacy while looking to their future.

Inside the plush amber-coloured quadrangle, guests arrived wearing a polished suite of Pandora jewels, before mingling over coupes of champagne, sips of Paloma cocktails and bites of canapés.

Amongst these guests was, of course, Ashley Park. The Emily In Paris breakout star is the acme of approachable elegance, making her the perfect fit for the worldwide Pandora family.  Without restraint, Park mingled with Pandora’s exclusive attendees, complimenting us on how we each styled our jewels.

For context, Park and I both sported link charm earrings from the brand, making us kindred spirits in our silver ornaments. (Though Park did go the full silver gamut in a chintzy chainmail top).

Later in the evening, we moved inside the art space for a four-course meal focused on local Danish produce, a gourmand odyssey through Copenhagen’s flavour profile complimented by a bespoke wine pairing. Enhanced by seasonal ingredients from lauded local restaurant Marv og Ben, the dinner was just another example of how Pandora creates moments worth cherishing.

Park herself divulged the impact Pandora has had throughout her life, explaining that it was her best friend and co-star Lily Collins who first introduced her to Copenhagen, leading her to any moment to work with the Danish.

“I’m really honoured to be an ambassador of the brand…what I love about Pandora is with my friends, with my work and my storytelling I love to look for stuff that’s personal, is intentional and unique and I feel like Pandora has that,” Park told us at the dinner.

The actress and Broadway alumni also ended the evening with a toast to her first Pandora “moment”, an instance where her father bought her and her sister matching friendship bracelets making the brand the first “nice piece of jewellery” she had ever owned.

“I think there are signs from the universe and those kinds of things are always really meaning full and cool, so yay for Pandora memories!” There couldn’t be a Pandora memory more worthwhile savouring than this.
