Sarah Snook revealed she’s welcomed her first child with her husband, comedian Dave Lawson, and she did it while watching the series finale of the hit HBO show. Beware of spoilers ahead.

On Monday, the Australian actress shared an Instagram photo of her and the top of her newborn baby’s head watching the final episode of the beloved series, which came to an end on Sunday.

“It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me,” she captioned the post. “The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over. But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful.”

Snook continued, “To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department. The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows: I’m going to miss it all. The people of this show are a talented bunch, and I’m proud to have worked alongside them, it’s the people I will miss most of all.”

Snook, who plays Siobhan “Shiv” Roy, the youngest child and only daughter of larger-than-life Waystar Royco media magnate Logan Roy (Brian Cox) continued saying, “I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”

The actress revealed her pregnancy at the season 4 red carpet premiere in New York City in March. “It’s exciting!” the actress told Entertainment Tonight about becoming a mother. “I feel great.”

The Australia native also admitted to being pregnant while filming the show’s final season, but assured fans that it would not deter from the high-stakes drama.“You couldn’t super tell,” she said, explaining that she wasn’t “super big” while filming.

Other stars bid farewell to the show on social media too, including the series’ patriarch Cox, who posted an open letter to his Instagram Stories. “We have now come to an end. And what has been, in my career, certainly the greatest work experience ever. The harmony between crew and cast was truly amazing,” he wrote. “It was on its way to become a great series but the Love and commitment from crew to cast and writers, made it memorable. I would like to thank all of us in the making and creating of this show from the very bottom of my heart. Yours ever, Brian Cox.” Reposting the Story, Snook added, “Big love to you, fake Dad.”

In the final season, Shiv discovers her pregnancy in the aftermath of her father’s passing. With her marriage to Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) in dire straits, Shiv keeps the news a secret for the majority of the season.

Working against her brothers, Shiv is set to take the helm of her father’s empire as CEO if the Gojo acquisition, led by Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) goes through. When pitching herself for the top job, Shiv attempts to convince Matsson that her pregnancy won’t stand in the way. “She’s one of those hard bitches, right? Who’s gonna do, what, 36 hours of maternity leave? Emailing through her vanity cesarean. Poor kid will never see her,” she quips in the third person.

Snook joked that Shiv showed her “what not to do” when it comes to motherhood in an interview with Extra. “I don’t know if the Roy family are a paragon of family values… I don’t think we could be looking up to them for guidance.”

At the last minute, Matsson decides to replace Shiv with her estranged husband and baby daddy, Tom.

After four years debating which of the Roy children will take their seat at the throne, Tom Wambsgans swoops in with the surprising victory, with Shiv at his side.

Having enchanted audiences with her sarcastic and assertive attitude, quippy one-liners and killer style, Snook’s character has become an icon. I think it’s safe to say, we’ll all miss Shiv Roy.
