When it comes to cult favorite beauty products, Sisley Paris’ Black Rose Cream Mask is right up there with iconic mainstays like Maybelline Great Lash mascara, NARS Orgasm blush and Kiehl’s Creme de Corps. The luxe lotion is a veritable panacea for tired skin, neutralizing redness, perking up tone and softening fine lines — almost immediately.

Personally, it’s the first thing I reach for when I need to look pulled together for everything from a big meeting with the boss to a first date. Of course the Black Rose line doesn’t end with this complexion savior. There’s also a gel-cream moisturizer that deeply nourishes despite its whisper weight, and an eye cream dispensed from a wand that does double duty as a de-puffing device. Imagine my glee when Sisley released its biggest gun in the Black Rose collection earlier this year: the Black Rose Concentrate Radiant Youth Serum.

The newly-launched serum possesses the same instant gratification properties of the mask, but seemingly on steroids, thanks to a cocktail of hyaluronic acid and biosaccharides, which are molecules derived from sugar that repair the skin barrier. The combo attracts water while reducing redness and smoothing the surface, leading to a major plumping effect that helps bounce light off skin, heightening luminosity.

But the real magic happens deep below the surface. Anthocyanins extracted from black rose petals act as mega-antioxidants, protecting cells from inflammation while promoting collagen synthesis. More than just imparting a next-level glow, this potent concentrate strengthen’s skin’s overall health and vitality for the long haul, the key to stopping the clock. “Antioxidants neutralize the oxidative stress in cells that’s responsible for accelerated aging,” explains board-certified internist and longevity expert Dr. Amanda Kahn. “They sweep away cellular debris and free radicals before they cause cell damage.”

The Black Rose Concentrate gets its pink hue from plant-based antioxidant anthocyanins.

While anthocyanins might sound exotic, chances are you’ve experienced them before. The richly pigmented molecules are behind the deep red, blue and purple hues of fruits like raspberries and blueberries. Their actual function is to act as a natural UV screen that protects plant cells from breaking down. Think of it this way: If anthocyanins can keep cherries and plums plump and firm, just imagine what they can do for the complexion!

To maintain high potency, the anthocyanin concentrate comes housed in a separate compartment that gets dispensed into the serum right before the first use. This activation will stoke the science lovers among us, as it turns the potion its unique, rich fuchsia hue.

Unlike some ultra-luxury serums that can feel heavy or tacky on skin, the concentrate is super efficient for daily use. “I like how light it feels,” confides makeup artist Romy Soleimani, who got a sneak peek of the serum during New York Fashion Week, when she created the looks for the Ulla Johnson Fall-Winter 2026/2027 runway show. “It sits beautifully under makeup. I used it on every model and it gave the skin a gorgeous, hydrated, radiant, and bouncy, plump finish,” she tells GRAZIA.

Now, getting — and keeping — a crystal complexion doesn’t come cheap. At $320, Sisley Black Rose Concentrate Radiant Youth Serum is a bit of a splurge… but can one really put a price tag on a preternatural glow?
