Debuting its first release of the spring season, fashion and lifestyle brand Runaway New York is dropping a fresh batch of stylish hoodies with its new capsule collection The Great Heart. Curated by New York designer Jagger Walk, the leisurewear collection is set to be rolled out through the Spring/Summer season with a multitude of continuous capsule drops, with the first dropping Friday, May 6.
Plush and perfectly oversized, the hoodies are emblazoned with “The Great Heart” written on the front, with the back continuing, “of the most beloved entertainer of our time.” According to Walk, “The Great Heart embodies the idea of pushing boundaries to become a greater version of yourself and will be a component of Runaway New York that we will continue to explore in the coming future.”
Featuring convenient side pockets, the designer sweatshirts are cut and sewn, and double layered to ensure toasty comfort, available in vibrant hues of fire-engine red and bright blue. The founding designer went on to say that these creations, “are my favorite pieces we have made thus far since starting the brand.”

“Even though we are a clothing label, we want to continue focusing on different ways we can bring the brand to life, especially in New York,” said Walk. Recently chartering taxis in lower Manhattan to bare the Runaway New York triple logo, the brand’s authentic New York City roots and luxe sartorial touch are what sets it apart.
The brand closed out 2021 with a pop-up event at the Billionaire Boys Club/ ICECREAM store in Miami, Florida. Beginning to host a string of their own events dubbed Runaway New York Presents: Nights, their debut affair took place last month at Tape London. “Even though our heart and home lie in New York,” explained Walk, “Bringing people together to collectively fulfill our dreams has been the best part of these new ventures.” With parties going on to take place in cities like London and New York, Walk plans for Nights events to eventually expand internationally.
Founding Runaway New York when he was still in high school, Walk became known for his unique hoodies, sweatpants, T-shirts, and hats. Now, after foraying into the lifestyle category with the brand’s Before Noon candle release, Runaway New York is showing no signs of slowing down.
