Minimalistic streetwear is undoubtedly having a moment right now. With celebrities and high fashion brands venturing into the space, it seems like an appropriate time for emerging designers to explore the sought-after category. However, when it comes to Gen Z’er Jagger Walk, the reason is a little more personal. Designing clothes for people, his own age was Walks’ reason for launching his streetwear line, Runaway New York. Walk is now dropping his second collection for the brand which is meant to evoke an “escape from your comfort zone.”

In times of work from home (in the case of then 19-year-old Jagger, school from home) the coronavirus pandemic ushered a new era of leisurewear tapping into ready-to-wear. Made for every occasion, Runaway New York’s summer capsule collection is complete with stylish yet comfy sweatsuits in white, black, grey, and beige stamped with the brand’s logo. The pieces are inspired by Walks’ friends and peers and what his generation actually wants. The collection also includes an array of accessories from muted baseball caps to pendant necklaces.

The New York native is now expanding his streetwear line into a full-fledged lifestyle brand. Jagger is set to release his “Before Noon” candle as part of his Summer capsule collection. Distinguished by jasmine, black currant, that transitions to sandalwood, amber, vanilla, and balsam as the candle continues to burn.

“The release of the Before Noon candle is the beginning of Runaway New York objects and oddities.” Walk said in an exclusive statement to GRAZIA. “The release of the Before Noon candle will enable people to showcase their taste in home decor. With quality and comfort being paramount to Runaway New York, its lifestyle products will evoke the brand’s ethos.” As the brand grows Walk plans to expand his line-exhibiting his stylistic sensibilities with increasingly diverse offerings.

The summer capsule collection including the “Before Noon” candle officially launches on July 16
