If there’s one person who consistently knows how to break the internet, it’s Cardi B. Whether it’s with WAP-style music videos, displays of comedy or just turning looks, Cardi B is a cornerstone of pop culture in our day and age. Now, a pregnant Cardi shows off everything on Instagram in a tight, ribbed maroon Mugler dress in shots taken from a couple of weeks ago.
Looking forward to her second child with husband and rapper Offset, Cardi’s baby bump isn’t the only thing growing in the rapper’s life. The 28-year-old took to social media to show off her expanding and impressive collection of Birkin bags.
Cardi wrote on the Instagram post “Every other day new wig new hair, come take me out this Mugler,” sharing this moment with her 101 million Instagram followers.
The dress is stunning, and the accompanying elements make this a look a cohesive ensemble that is worth your attention. With shiny, long black hair framing the whole look, gold chains, earrings and bracelets tie in perfectly with the maroon dress, paying homage to a baroque color scheme among the likes of Caravaggio or Rembrandt. The shoes for the look are an understated clear kitten heel, but the bag? It looks like Cardi has no shortage of options to choose from in that department.
The accompanying picture shows Cardi looking over a collection of what looks like upwards of 26 Birkins, which I’m sure is a fraction of her actual collection. Thee bags range from jewel tones, to beiges to simple blacks and whites, a bag for every look.
The pictures were snapped in Cardi’s elegant and extravagant Atlanta home alongside what looks like some friends. I don’t know about you, but that looks like a party I’d want to join.
One question remains after Cardi’s display, how does she choose which one to wear on any given day? With a selection like that, it would be easy to get caught up in the opulence of it all. But it’s like they say, better to have more choices than fewer.
