I can’t help but wonder if Carrie Bradshaw and the girls will take a stroll up Broadway to visit Prada Outdoor, a series of pop-up shops and in-store installations in the Sex and the City 10-episode reboot, And Just Like That…? Here’s hoping the fictional Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and maybe their new Latinx podcaster friend will take in Prada’s very real experience. According to the brand, Prada Outdoor is dedicated to the emotions conveyed by four settings — garden, coast, mountain, and snow — with a dedicated selection of products to shop for each environment, naturally.

Allow us to set the scene via the press release: “A picnic on the lawn, games on the sand, the cool shade of the trees, and the gleam of the sun on an alpine lodge. These four experiences are celebrated in Prada Outdoor, a series of pop-up shops and in-store installations, dedicated to the emotions conveyed by four settings – Garden, Coast, Mountain and Snow – containing a selection of original products recalling each particular environment.”

For instance, Prada’s Broadway story was transformed into a beach with sand dunes, rocks, tents, and sunshades. Per the release, “amidst the beach huts, surfboards and lookout towers,” is an exclusive ready-to-wear collection for both women and men. The brand’s black Re-nylon fabric is transformed into beach wear and bathrobes, the beach collection also includes T-shirts adorned with crystals to mimic a summer night and sequin slip dresses as a nod to the ocean. The press release says men can expect a similar vibe: “terry garments with a casual, fifties look.” As for the accessories, Prada will offer a range of bags made of wicker and leather or woven straw. Each pop-up will also sell a range of sports accessories: surfboards, rackets, skateboards, frisbees, beach volleyballs, and more.

Prada Outdoor is located at 575 Broadway through June 20, 2021 and will then travel to Beverly Hills (June 14 through July 4, 2021), Miami (June 24 through July 12), and Neiman Marcus Northpark in Dallas (June 8 through June 27).
