Ahead of walking down the aisle to her fiancé Carter Reum, Paris Hilton is ensuring she makes the most of being a bride-to-be.

On Saturday, the 40-year-old hosted an Alice in Wonderland-themed bridal brunch—the same theme as her recent bridal shower—in her Los Angeles home, decorating her backyard with pink and white floral arrangements and black teacups hanging above the table from string. Portraits of the happy couple were decorated onto cookies and cans of sparkling water, all of which were, naturally, meticulously documented for the ‘gram.

During the day, the group played games, including one in which Hilton and her sister-in-law Tessa acted as models as attendees split into two groups and raced to construct bridal couture out of toilet paper within five minutes. In a clip prior to the timer beginning, Hilton can be heard saying, “Don’t give me a brutal veil.”

The end result was Hilton wearing a tight ’80s-look wedding gown, complete with padded shoulders and a braided headpiece. Her dress stopped mid-length leaving room to show off her white bridal shoes, with a toilet paper train flowing at the back. Hilton wore her hair in a high ponytail and accessorized with white love heart-shaped glasses as she laughed and held one of her white fluffy dogs in her hand.

Tessa, meanwhile, was put in a floor-length dress with, perhaps accidental, mesh-look fabric along the side. Her team wrapped toilet paper around her forearms to act as fingerless gloves and added a headpiece and veil. Despite the valiant effort by both groups, the looks were quickly destroyed by Hilton’s dogs, who began chewing and tearing away at their trains.

Unlike her festival-like bridal shower, for which she wore a plethora of outfits, Hilton had just two changes on the morning—if you count her toilet paper look—wearing a bridal white minidress with a peekaboo cutout and long sheer sleeves and her hair pulled back into an iconic ponytail. Considering at her joint Las Vegas bachelorette and bachelor party, she said she’d be wearing 11 different dresses on her big day, this was what you’d call a very low-key affair.

Hilton got engaged to Reum in February when he proposed on a private island after one-year of dating. The pair had known each other for 15 years before they were first romantically linked at a Golden Globes afterparty in January 2020.

Speaking of her relationship to PEOPLE in September, Hilton said the pandemic gave the couple time to build a bond that would have taken five years in the real world. “This is the first time I’ve actually been forced not to travel and stay home,” Hilton said. “The silver lining is that I get to be with my pets and my boyfriend. We have gotten so close. The amount of time we’ve had together is what would normally take five years!”

In July, Hilton confirmed the couple were “waiting until after the wedding” to have children, but previously revealed they had begun IVF, something she was recommended by her longtime friend, Kim Kardashian. Hilton said she initially started looking into the procedure because it was “the only way” she could ensure that she can have “twins that are a boy and a girl.”
