Paris fashion week

The long-awaited Paris Fashion Week calendar is finally here, three weeks before the Fall-Winter 2022 womenswear collections commence (both IRL and digitally). The Fédération de la Couture et de la Mode has announced today that 45 of the 95 shows and presentations will take place in-person, including newcomers Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley’s The Row, Guram Gvasalia‘s Vtmnts, and Off-White.

The shows will have an emotional kickoff with an Off-White tribute show to its late founder, Virgil Abloh, on February 28 at 8 p.m. Cult-favorite label Marine Serre will also be making its return to the runway on March 4 at 9 p.m. after showing its last two collections digitally due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Alongside Parisian staples including Dior, Saint Laurent, Balmain, Balenciaga, Valentino, Givenchy, Stella McCartney, Chanel, and Miu Miu, newcomers Vaquera and winner of the Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize at last year’s edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, Rui Zhou (both previously presented during New York) join the roster of exceptional designers showing in the City of Lights.

Paris, the final city following weeks of shows in New York, London, and Milan, will end a bit differently than it has traditionally done in the past. Instead of Louis Vuitton closing out the glorious fashion-filled week — the luxury maison has opted to schedule its show the second-to-last day on March 7.

Luckily, every show will be available to watch digitally via the Fédération de la Couture et de la Mode website — and of course, if you’re attending IRL, don’t forget this season’s hottest accessory, your mask and vaccine card.
