Alber Elbaz‘s fashion label AZ Factory (which launched less than two years ago) is confirmed to close out Paris Fashion Week this upcoming Spring-Summer 2022 season. Elbaz created the label following a five-year hiatus. AZ Factory, now run by chief executive officer Laurent Malecaze, will host a fashion show in homage to the revolutionary designer, who died on April 24 from coronavirus at age 59.

The tribute fashion show will be entitled “Love Brings Love” and is scheduled for October 5. The day will not be a day for mourning but to celebrate the legacy and achievements of Elbaz. In a statement shared with GRAZIA, the brand mentioned that the show “will pay tribute to Alber’s creative vision and his extraordinary love for the fashion family.”

There’s no secret that Elbaz was one of the most extraordinary personalities in fashion. Today, the fashion world still grieves over the loss of the designer notably known for reviving Lanvin to what it is today. While at the helm of the French fashion house, the celebrated designer turned the archaic brand into a must-have practical label for high-fashion notables. Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Kim Kardashian, and Michelle Obama were all loyal fans, to name a few.

Although details of the show remain minimal, stay tuned as the story develops. Paris fashion week is set to be held in person from September 27 to October 5.
