New York Fashion Week returned from an almost two year hiatus this season and it was everything that we could’ve anticipated and more. If there was any apprehension about return to in-person shows and presentations, it all dissipated with the strict enforcement of the vaccination requirement and the electric buzz that only NYFW can generate.

And the American designers were itching to get back to a fashion week that didn’t include Zoom as much as show goers were excited to be back in the front row. The Spring/Summer 2022 collections did not disappoint. They gave us all the drama, fantasy, and allure that only an in-person runway show can deliver. But most perhaps importantly, the new season gave us a reason to look forward to getting dressed again.

While we are looking forward to adding new pieces from the SS22 collections to our wardrobes, we couldn’t help but notice the distinct trends that emerged from the week. From colors and silhouettes to textures and patterns, we’ve noted the 8 biggest trends to hit the runway at NYFW this season. We’ve rounded them all up so click through our NYFW Trend Report to keep yourself abreast on the best to come out of fashion week’s glorious return.
