Young Hollywood Takes Over NYC’s Balthazar to Celebrate Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu
The iconic hot spot looked chicer than ever decked out in Chanel during NYFW

The It Crowd gathered over spritzes of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu and Aperol Spritzes (and martinis and free-flowing champagne) at one of New York City’s legendary hot spots for the glamorous fashion set — Balthazar — right in the middle of New York Fashion Week festivities.
Intimate cafe tables reminiscent of a Paris boîte dotted the famed eatery, where editors, models, musicians and fresh-faced luminaries including Sterling Point’s Ella Rubin and Amelie Hoeferle, Paloma Elsesser, Lux Pascal and Anna Van Patten leant in for conversation while nibbling on shrimp cocktail, truffled macaroni au gratin and decadent chocolate mousse to the beats of DJ Kitty Ca$h on the decks. Later in the evening, indie rock band Balu Brigada led by brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley from New Zealand treated the crowd to a lively performance before they hit Balthazar Bakery next door. Soho’s beloved Parisian bakery offered Chanel-ified croissants, pale pink macarons and more to take away.
Guests circled around the nose behind the scent, Olivier Polges, Chanel’s in-house perfumer-creative. The just-launched Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu is a hyper-flirty interpretation of the maison’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance; the spirited fruity-floral scent laced with a heady dose of sensual, woodsy amber.

The celebration of the launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu and its campaign starring house ambassador Gracie Abrams (the very embodiment of the spirit of the scent) continues throughout the weekend at a pop-up in NYC’s Meatpacking District. Open to the public, the chic café-inspired setting at 873 Washington Street will serve up coffees and high style through the weekend. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
