Nicola Peltz Beckham is ringing her 28th birthday a lot of love from her famous friends and family. On Jan. 9, the actress, model (and GRAZIA USA cover star), celebrated another year around the sun, surrounded by loved ones and shared a peek into her parties on social media.
The Welcome to Chippendales star posted selfies on her Instagram Story posing with friends like her “girl” Rebecca Faria, who runs Detox by Rebecca. She shared snaps with friends all wearing matching white cozy robes with headbands, as well as a glimpse of her unicorn-covered two-tier birthday cake, and a regram from husband Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, who shared a video of Nicola getting serenaded with “Happy Birthday” at a dinner.
In another video, she was serenaded again, this time, in front of her birthday cake alongside her mom, Claudia Heffner Peltz, also wearing a cozy white robe.
She also regrammed her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, wishing her a Happy Birthday. The fashion designer posted a photo sitting and smiling with Nicola in a kitchen writing, “Happy Birthday @NicolaAnnePeltzBeckham 💗 Hope you have a lovely day!!! X.”
Nicola commented on the photo, “Thank you so much” with heart emojis. She added the same response to an Instagram Story regram from her father-in-law wishing her a Happy Birthday, featuring a similar photo of Nicola in the kitchen covering her face with a piece of spinach.
Her bestie Selena Gomez dedicated an Instagram post to her friend a day before Nicola’s birthday sharing snaps of herself and her sister, Gracie, planting a kiss on Nicola’s cheeks. “It’s not your bday yet but let’s celebrate NOW!” Gomez wrote. Nicola replied in the comments, “Omg my sisters!! 💖💖💖.”
The two stars have grown close, celebrating both Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve together, the latter of which they rang in on a yacht in matching Valentino mini dress (talk about chic!).
For Brooklyn’s special post for his wife, he shared a video of himself picking out the spot where he’d propose (which was at a gazebo overlooking a view of the water), and shared various snapshots of their life together. He captioned the post, “Happy birthday Nicola xx From the moment I laid my eyes on you I thought you were the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen and since then I’m still trying to figure out how your mine xx I love you so so much baby and I hope you have the most amazing day because you deserve it xx love you ❤️.”
After Nicola’s April 2022 wedding to Brooklyn (the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham), tabloids ran wild with a “feud” between the family after Nicola wore a Valentino Haute Couture gown on her big day instead of something designed by her mother-in-law.
In GRAZIA USA‘s Fall 2022 cover story, Nicola set the story straight saying she “was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created. I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.”
Nicola’s close friend, the stylist Leslie Fremar, and mother, Claudia, were helping design the gown. “I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be so fun. One of my best friends and my mom.’ We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it. So, I spoke to my mom and Leslie, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’ I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”
She said that when she read headlines that said she wasn’t planning on wearing a Victoria Beckham design, it “hurt my feelings. I try not to let it, but it’s just not the truth. It’s just a bit of a bummer when you’re like, ‘Oh, people think that,’ but it’s just not true.”
In September, Nicola and Brooklyn (as well as Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17 and Harper Seven, 11) were all on-hand to cheer on Victoria at her Paris Fashion Week show.
