In the year 2021, many of us have accepted the fact that our day-to-day wardrobe consists of loungewear—and little else. But that doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice style (not to mention the pleasure once derived from dressing up) in the name of comfort. Just take it from Angela Missoni, whose family-run fashion house has been dreaming up colorful, eye-catching knitwear for nearly 70 years.

For Milan Fashion Week’s Fall 2021, the Varese-based designer has injected her iconic Italian flair into a number of pieces made to be mixed and matched. There are cashmere raglan sweaters, soft-to-the-touch caftans, inviting culottes and flared pants, and jewel-embellished coats and trenches—all offered in a palette ranging from earth-toned terracotta, cognac, and beigey-pink, opt for the season’s quieter off-white zig zags, or stay true to the brand’s DNA and pile on the prints. (Even shorts and sports bras get the Missoni treatment this season, as do iPhone and lipstick cases.)

“Strong and a bit rebellious, Missoni’s women find a balance between elegance and comfort, never renouncing their sophisticated style while not accepting any constrictions,” a press release stated of the modus operandi of the collection, which also presented a handful of molto bello options for your Saturday night at home: elongating t-shirt dresses crafted from Lurex or multicolored sequined yarns. Cozy, coruscating, and completely chic.
