Just in time for The Pale Blue Eye premiere, Lucy Boynton dramatically switched up her signature platinum blonde tresses for a new, unexpected hue. The actress stepped out on Wednesday evening at the DGA theater in Los Angeles, with copper red strands.
Jenny Cho styled Boynton’s freshly-colored hair with a straight middle part. The actress juxtaposed her edgy beauty moment (complete with a bold oxblood lip) with an ethereal ivory Chanel gown from the Fall/Winter 2020 Couture collection, styled by Leith Clark.
Boynton accessorized her ensemble with dangling chandelier earrings and a statement star ring with a vampy burgundy manicure. The actress slipped into a pair of white Chanel heels with black capped toes to complete the look.
This year, fiery red hair became the hottest hue in Hollywood, with Emma Chamberlain, Kendall Jenner, Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira and Sophie Turner adopting the bold beauty look (and it doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon).
The Pale Blue Eyes stars Boynton, Christian Bale, Harry Melling, Robert Duvall, Gillian Anderson and more. Set in the 1800s, the film follows detective Augustus Landor (Bale) who struggles to uncover the truth in a community upholding a code of silence. He enlists a fellow cadet to help solve the case – a man who the world would one day come to know as Edgar Allan Poe (Melling).
The Pale Blue Eye streams on Netflix on Jan. 6.
