As much as Lily Collins loved filming Emily in Paris, she had one gripe with the Netflix series.
“Honestly, I would go all over the world with it if I could,” the actress replied after Jimmy Fallon said fans want the series to occur in other places. “But the one thing is, I would want to go to streets where you could wear flats.”
She continued, “Wearing heels [all the time] … You wouldn’t think how painful that can be in Paris. ‘Cause it’s cobblestone everywhere!”
Unfortunately, the pain was so bad that Collins, who plays Emily Cooper on the hit show, had to go to a doctor! “I actually literally went to a podiatrist every week to fix my feet because I was wearing heels all the time,” she confessed. “I had to have, like, insoles made for every pair of shoes. I’m not kidding. I felt pretty ancient.”
Despite the semi-minor hiccup, Collins loves playing Emily and seeing what kind of crazy and fun looks she will pull out of her closet.
“It’s so hard because Emily is obsessed with fashion,” the Mirror Mirror alum said on Daily Pop on January 4. “I love this outfit I wore for my birthday party which was this little mini dress with a big pink bow, because I felt Emily thought it was a bit of a present to herself.”
Though season 3 hasn’t started filming just yet — Collins is currently promoting her new movie Windfall — she revealed what she would like to see happen.
“I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters, and feel seen and represented in the show,” the brunette beauty told Glamour. “And I hope that we get a season 3 because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”
“What I love so much about this show, honestly, is that it’s about relationships with friendships, it’s romance, it’s one’s relationship with one’s self,” she gushed. “I think the friendships between these women here really come alive this season and it was so much fun to shoot all together.”
