Lil Nas X CoachLil Nas X just added Coach global ambassador and runway model to his résumé. A day before his catwalk debut, Coach teased a photo on Instagram of a gilded grill embellished with the brand’s classic C’s pattern and the date “Sep 12.” “Someone new is joining the #CoachFamily,” the caption read.

Fast forward a day later to the brand’s Spring-Summer 2023 show and the grill belonged to none other than Lil Nas X. The rapper joins other stars in the Coach family including Ava Max, Noah Beck, Rickey Thompson, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Michael B. Jordan, Wisdom Kaye and more.

Fans suspected the singer was joining the brand after the teaser Instagram post, and based on the fact that he’s worked with Coach’s creative directors Stuart Vevers on a series of looks for his Long Live Montero world tour. However, they weren’t expecting the singer to close out the heritage house’s runway show presented on Monday in front of a massive crowd at the Park Armory in the Upper East Side.

Lil Nas X modeled a black vest and matching shorts featuring buckle embellishments. The look was paired with a gold bag and Y2K-esque jelly sandals. For the finale, he led the brigade of models back around for a standing ovation, meeting Vevers at the end of the runway for a final bow.

“Our new global ambassador shares our belief that style should be about courageously exploring all of who you are,” the brand captioned an Instagram post after the show, of the newly-minted model wearing a Coach tank top, baggy jeans, and a shearling coat.
