Lady Gaga x CJR—an iconic fashion duo—are back at it again, as the Academy Award winning chameleon, donned a Christopher John Rogers look (complete with her signature 9″ inch boots and a pair of black Andy Wolf cat-eye ‘Vivienne’ sunglasses ) in route to a performance with Tony Bennett. The look—look 15 from the brand’s Collection 007 to be exact—a plaid, strapless, seersucker, dress in the CJR signature “strawberry” silhouette, is simply stunning. What makes this moment even more iconic, is that this isn’t a custom dress, it’s not couture, it’s not an original—it’s rtw! As worn by the likes of fashion icon and consultant, Amanda Murray and Bay area concept store, Shop McMullen founder Sherri McMullen, you too can have this dress. Wow, Lady Gaga: she shops just like us (granted if we had a a disposable $2K to splurge). This speaks to Designer Christopher John Rogers’ philosophy of making beautiful clothes, for beautiful people. These are real, wearable clothes that any fashion lover can gravitate towards. From the thoughtful curation of stockist for his rtw collections—Bergdorf Goodman, T.A., McMullen etc.—to his smash hit Target collaboration (with accessible sizes), he’s building a world we all can be a part of. It’s colorful, it’s genderless, it’s inclusive—it’s magical!

This isn’t the first time the House of Gucci star has worn CJR, as she wore a striking, Baja Blast, silk, taffeta ball gown and kimono blouse as she accepted The Song of the Year, award at the 2020 VMAs. Christopher John Rogers has been building quite the impressive portfolio of dressing some of the most iconic names in culture, film, art, drag and music. Beyonce (twice), AOC, Zendaya, Tracee Ellis Ross, The City Girls, Ashley Graham and now Lady Gaga (also, twice). We wonder what icon, figure head, pop-star, movie star or rapstress he’ll dress next.
