Kim Kardashian is a beauty maven through and through. And she’s a brave one at that. She’s gone platinum blonde on a whim because she was in the mood for a “drastic change,” and she’s even attended Paris Fashion Week makeup-free. In our book, the mom of four’s a legend.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star rose to fame in the early 2000s, alongside her longtime friend, Paris Hilton. In the years since, Kardashian’s not so quietly created a billion-dollar beauty and fashion empire as the CEO of Skims and the founder of KKW Beauty.

With fame comes red carpets, premieres, and glamorous events — and Kardashian’s had no shortage of those. To keep fans on their toes, the reality star-turned-entrepreneur’s blessed us with so many iconic hair and makeup moments through the years. It feels impossible to try to narrow them down to a handful, but we’re going to give it a try.

Perhaps the most iconic is the star’s 2019 Met Gala look. A large majority of fans were concerned that she sacrificed a rib to squeeze into the Thierry Mugler corset, but we couldn’t stop looking at her glam. Her beauty team consisted of her go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton, and Mario Dedivanovic.

“This is about eight months in the making …” she told Vogue on the red carpet. “He envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping.” Appleton and Dedivanovic followed Mugler’s lead by styling her hair in wet-looking waves and making her skin look as radiant as ever.

This iconic look will go down in history. The dress is undoubtedly the focal point, but her glam is equally as breathtaking. Hairstylist Chris Appleton made the star’s hair look wetter and more scrunched than ever and gave her an off-center part. Makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic channeled the “wet” look in her makeup, too, giving her a luminous base and a glossy highlight.

We’ll never forget this berry lip look, debuted at the 2013 Met Gala. Kardashian considers this one of her favorite looks of all time now, but that wasn’t the case at first. “I didn’t know anyone & I’m sure no one wanted me there lol,” she tweeted, reflecting on the look in 2019. “I did my own lipstick & the color is so off. I went home & cried after of insecurity but this is one of my fave looks now.”
