Kim Kardashian‘s celebrated shape wear, Skims, made waves when it first entered the market in 2019. Since expanding into underwear and loungewear, the fashion and beauty mogul is set to impress athletes too as the brand travels to Tokyo next month for the 2020 Olympic Games.

“When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle,” Kardashian announced via social media on Monday.

The brand will provide the undergarments and pyjamas for not only the Olympics, but the Paralympics too. The country’s uniform of choice will be provided by All-American designer, Ralph Lauren.

In announcing the partnership, the reality star reflected on her connection to the event as she watched her step father Caitlyn Jenner compete.

“I traveled w my stepdad and family to all different cities for the Olympic trials, the Olympics and track meets of @Caitlyn_Jenner’s and at every stop I would buy an Olympic t-shirt as a souvenir,” she said.

Alongside the tweet Kardashian revealed a series of campaign images. Soccer athlete Alex Morgan, basketball player A’ja Wilson, Paralympian Scout Bassett, swimmer Haley Anderson and track and field athlete Dalilah Muhammad were chosen to wear the designs.

The collection features bralettes, boxer briefs, tank tops, briefs, T-shirts, socks, leggings (anything essential for peak performance and sleep) while in apt fashion the pieces will be emblazoned with the United States flag, Team USA and Olympic rings. For fans, the styles will be available to purchase online.

Just recently Kardashian appeared on the cover of GRAZIA wearing her celebrated line. For the 40-year-old it began as she recognized a gap in the market for shape wear.

“I thought, ‘wow, if I can’t find a shade color, think of all the women out there who couldn’t find their color either’,” Kardashian shared. “I found something I felt was missing in the market-place and made sure we filled it.”
