Kim KW is basically a genius.
Launching Skims was maybe her savviest business move yet, empowering women all around the world to simultaneously celebrate and “enhance” their curves in the way that Kim does.
It’s a classy-looking product but the price point is accessible, meaning that most mere mortals can afford a piece or a few, and that Kimmy can expect to rake it in big time.
Last night she introduced a couple of new items into the collection — tonal body tape and nipple pasties.
She demonstrated the new additions in a video posted to her Instagram stories where Kim taped up a model (nipples covered, to meet the ‘Gram standards) where she explained the product’s superiority to the gaffer tape she used to use which would often be extremely painful to tape off.
Kim also posted some throwback photos in which she taped her boobs evenly and not so evenly.
The tape comes in three skin-coloured shades which Kim admits will not work for all skin tones, but hey, it’s a huge improvement on the silver gaffer tape we used to use before (though I wonder if medical tape might also work?) She says the tape is not too stretchy, doesn’t hurt to remove (the model stayed quiet when pulling the tape off her boobs) and is basically the answer to all of your backless dress and braless suit dilemmas.
She also, cleverly, posts a video of another girl demonstrating the tape, a busty non-model who needs two strips on each boob. “It’s very comfortable and very breathable,” the girl enthuses.
And here we were all along thinking that Kim just had magical boobs that propped themselves up whenever the occasion required it. Good to think that she’s maybe (kinda) human after all.
