This isn’t the first time Kendall Jenner has gone nude this summer, and yes, we’re referring to the Jacquemus handbag campaign released earlier this month. This has been the summer of nude-toned outfits, with JLo dropping an Instagram barrage of beige pantsuit snaps and Kim Kardashian basing her new KKW Fragrance line around a nude color palette.

As they come back from their Italian vacation, Kendall Jenner and boyfriend Devin Booker were seen leaving Nobu after a dinner date, the former sporting a spaghetti-strap nude dress. The square neckline slip dress hit knee-length and was accompanied by black patent cowboy boots that sat just below the hemline. Of course, no look would be complete without a purse. Jenner wore an over-the-shoulder beige bag to match her dress.

We’ve come to an interesting dichotomy this summer, style trends at two opposite ends of the spectrum are rising at the same time. On one hand, we have the minimalistic, nude-beige trend, and on the other, we have the maximalist, colorful and bold. So as summer winds down, how does this look for fall?

It is really a matter of what resonates more with an individual. As pandemic-era restrictions ease up, certain people may want to go out and about and make a statement with bold patterns and colorful displays. Others may want to blend in a little more, opting for the beige-nude trend. Both of these trends have their place, and their fans. But as we are on the dawn of another season, and the dawn of New York Fashion Week, it will be intriguing to see if any designers bring these to the runway.
