Kendall for Jacquemus Fall 2021

July 1, 2021: Nature is healing; Kendall Jenner has returned to her first runway (IRL or digital) since before the coronavirus pandemic. The model marked her return by walking the Jacqumus Fall 2021 show in Paris on June 30. The show also featured a live audience, another encouraging sign of better days to come for the fashion industry.

Jenner’s hips swayed seamlessly to the soundtrack‘s beat while the likes of Bella Hadid and Adut Akech walked alongside her. The 25-year old showed off her showstopping body in two looks from the collection. The first, a barely-there black cropped cardigan (also seen on Bella Hadid in pink during a fitting.) The second, a striking color-blocked red and orange look that perfectly contrasted with the show‘s blue backdrop.

If Jenner’s fierce walk wasn’t enough to prove her excitement to be back on the runway, the model took to her Instagram posting a series of photos with the caption “Good to be back! Her devoted fans naturally took to the comments congratulating her triumphant return. One commenting, You have no idea how much we miss you on the runway.”

“I wanted to focus on the clothes, the silhouettes, the colors, the fabrics, the details and the energy of the models,” fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus said regarding his eponymous label’s showwanted the set to be minimal and sharp, recreating an abstract artistic mountain that portrays the inspiration of the collection.

Jenner hasn’t released an official statement on why she decided to take an extended hiatus from the runway. Perhaps to focus on her newly launch 818 tequila, or spend some much-needed quality time with her family as they brought Keeping Up With The Kardashian‘s to a close. Regardless of the apparent reason, we’re delighted to see the model back in her element.
